Abstract

This article introduces the special issue of Performance Research ‘On Taste’, arguing for the value of considering gustatory taste within a context of looking at performance work. It situates current discourses around sense and affect, articulating the framing of this issue and contextualising the collection of essays within the contemporary moment and key philosophical and political questions.
